We are looking for a Permit / Street Works Coordinator to support the development, growth, drive and management of the Projects Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join and strengthen our team, working on a wide range of projects. As many of our customers are one-off transactional customers, it is essential that we provide a long lasting and positive impression, by guiding the customer through the process of a new/replacement electricity connection.
The Permit / Street Works Coordinator is responsible for the delivering of the provision of metered electricity connections to customers who require a new or altered service. The role will include liaising with Traffic management companies and local councils, completing legal application paperwork and working as part of the company's Project Delivery Team in completing the work.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Submitting all permits - ensuring accuracy of permit details and submitting to the local councils for approval. Managing the notice process and ensuring deadlines and conditions are met.
* Liaising with local authorities to ensure all permit stipulations are adhered to.
* Organising any associated require suspensions of bus stops, parking bays, TTRO's etc.
* Coordinate traffic management plans, including temporary road closures and diversions, to maintain safety and reduce impact on the public.
* Booking required Traffic Management - complying with the permit conditions provided.
* Develop and consistently maintain good levels of communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records of all street works activities, including permits, inspections, and incidents.
* Maintaining the scheduling & monitoring of all assigned projects.
* Coordinate the legal process between Client and DNO/IDNO This includes raising wayleaves easement and lease applications/documentation.
* Maintaining the filing, recording and reporting systems.
* Preparing and compiling O&M (Operation & Maintenance) manuals along with developing and maintaining O&M data sheet library.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrate knowledge and experience of at least 2 years of experience within relevant role.
* Experience managing street works permitting procedures.
* Understanding of NRSWA and permitting conditions.
* Good computer skills, with a knowledge of and proficiency in common office applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general software navigation.
* Have a confident telephone manner with excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
* Self-motivated, with a strong drive to succeed with good initiative and a flexible attitude.
* Ability to nurture and build on established / good working relationships with clients/suppliers/partners.
* Good planning and diary management.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the electrical utilities industry.
