Location: England East
This role sits within our Distribution and Connections division. As one of the UKs largest Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), we support distribution network operations across a diverse range of infrastructure projects.
You will be part of our substation build team, working across 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV distribution networks throughout the East of England.
What will you be doing?
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and commissioning high-voltage plant and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient integration into the live distribution network and existing protection schemes.
Produce commissioning plans and associated documentation
Test and commission high-voltage plant and apparatus
Provide technical support throughout project delivery
Attend client meetings and assist in resolving on-site technical issues
Review and update technical drawings as required
Ensure compliance with current engineering standards and legislation
Promote innovation and continuous improvement across projects
Safely manage site activities and mentor junior team members
What Youll Bring
Proven experience in testing and commissioning on HV distribution networks
Strong understanding of engineering policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
Sound decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Good knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with clients, designers, and site teams
HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Additional Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel across multiple project sites within the region
