Hiring a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager on a full-time permanent basis for our client, a family-owned steel fabrication business, based in Stockton-on-Tees. Known for producing bespoke solutions across a range of industries including renewables, petrochemicals, nuclear and construction.
The position will cover all health, safety and environmental activities and is anticipated to have significant interface with all aspects of the company. A key part of the role will be to help define, drive and mentor HSE standards throughout the business.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Participating in policy and procedure reviews
Leading and participating in formal risk assessments
Training, mentoring and influencing all members of the business on all HSE matters, to encourage a safety conscious culture
Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation
Conducting site safety audits
Qualifications/Requirements:
NEBOSH Diploma
Experience as Lead/solo HSE representative
Experience in a steel fabrication setting
Experience working with lifting and slinging equipment and hot works
Excellent communication skills
Strong organisational skills
