Business Controller / Management Accountant
Location: Belfast (Hybrid - up to 2 days WFH after training)
Contract: 12 months (with potential extension)
Rate: Up to £46.82/hr (Umbrella) or £35/hr (PAYE), depending on experience
Start Date: Expected 1st October (subject to project go-live)

Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for driving financial performance and partnering with operational teams? We are seeking a proactive and analytical Business Controller / Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team supporting a high-value, multi-stakeholder business environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes across business units.
* Partner with operational managers to identify and validate improvement projects, including ROI and business case analysis.
* Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting and performance analysis to both local and central teams.
* Provide financial insight and challenge to support operational decision-making and risk mitigation.
* Evaluate business cases for investments and improvement initiatives.
* Oversee financial control activities across recurring costs, inventory, non-recurring costs, and capital expenditure.
What We're Looking For
* Qualifications: CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 2 years post-qualification experience in a manufacturing or commercial setting.
* Systems: Proficiency in SAP or similar financial reporting tools.
* Skills: Strong communication, analytical thinking, and a continuous improvement mindset.
* Experience: Background in aviation, defence, or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
Additional Information
* Work Pattern: 35 hours/week over 4.5 days (between 7am-7pm, flexible).
* Travel: Occasional travel to Broughton site may be required.
* Interview Process: One-stage, onsite in Belfast (from 18th August onwards).
* Security Clearance: BPSS+ (to be arranged).
