To be responsible for the scheduling of the Front of House department along with the Front of House & Reservations Manager. To be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Front Office, to assist the Guest Service Managers in any guest related issues and to be the first point of contact for any team member related issues. To be responsible for directing all aspects of front office operations ensuring that correct procedures are followed and supervising the complete and accurate handover of daily events from one shift to the next. To conduct personnel related functions upon advice from the People & Culture as necessary, such as, discipline, interviewing and selection, appraising, counselling and succession planning to ensure appropriate effective employee relations. Responsible for the design of the Standard Operating Procedures and Memos and to coordinate with the appointed Training Manager on the appropriate training plans for all Front Office employees. To liaise effectively between the Reservation, Housekeeping and Food and Beverage Manager regarding arrival, hotel occupancy, VIP’s, groups and functions using the ‘Handover Report’ and any other necessary procedures.
