Apply Now About the role Balfour Beatty are looking for a Civils (Excavation) Trainer to join our Power Transmission and Distribution team. The Excavation Trainer will perform all training, assessment and certification of civils/excavation operators for the business and support of the companys values. To work in conjunction with the training team to develop added value training solutions in support of business needs now and in the future. This role will be responsible for delivering training to our staff covering the UK, the postholder must hold a current driving licence with the ability to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home for periods of time (expenses will be covered). A company car is provided with this role. What you'll be doing To facilitate and maintain an effective communication flow and to build strong partnerships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to meet site requirements for civils (excavation) training/assessing and certification. To work in conjunction with the Training Team to continually evaluate the effectiveness of the training solution(s) in relation to business needs and realign where appropriate To deliver various generic and specialised training and assessments around the UK and Internationally To ensure all operators are compliant with current legislative (i.e. DVLA, CITB, NPORS, VOSA) and company standards To develop new training material and review all existing training/learning material and where appropriate bring in line with the agreed standard/company branding. To promote a professional image at all time in support of the companies and department values To ensure that you develop your capabilities through continuing professional development To carry out additional duties from time to time to meet the needs of the business Who we're looking for Hold relevant accreditation to train EUSR, NPORS, CPCS or alternative awarding bodies Previous experience of excavation operation is essential Training experience in health and safety, transport, plant, and construction safety would be an advantage. Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint Relevant training qualifications, TAQA, A1 or D32/33 workplace assessor qualification would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given Understanding of the training cycle, planning, development, delivering and evaluating training.
