Role and Responsibilities
* Teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering both English Language and English Literature programmes, supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes and raising aspirations.
* Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 & KS4.
* Assess and track student progress and intervene where required to raise attainment.
* Promote literacy and oracy across the curriculum.
* Contribute to the supportive and high-performing culture of the department and school.

Person Specification
* Is a qualified English teacher and holds QTS (or equivalent).
* Has recent experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of how to teach English Language and Literature, including preparing students for GCSE outcomes.
* Is able to motivate and engage students, and maintain high standards of behaviour and work ethic.
* Shares the school's values of respect, belief and giving your best, and supports the "growth mindset" culture.
* Has strong organisational skills, the ability to plan sequenced lessons, assess student progress and intervene where necessary.
* Is adaptable, proactive and able to integrate quickly into a new department, contributing positively to the team and the school ethos.
