Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you thrive in a supportive, person-centred environment where every day brings new opportunities to empower and uplift? If so, LiveWest wants to hear from you!

We are looking for two Youth Development Workers to join our Supported Housing team, working closely with the local authority’s Reunification team. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to support young people experiencing family separation—helping them move towards safe and sustainable reunification, or where that’s not possible, guiding them through a nurturing and rights-informed care pathway.

Young people entering this service may be facing significant life challenges, including learning basic independent living skills like cooking and laundry, while also navigating emotional separation from their families. You will be working in an environment that embraces trauma-informed principles, recognising the impact of adversity and focusing on safety, empowerment, and healing.

Key Responsibilities

* Build open, trusting relationships with young people, colleagues, and partner agencies.
* Deliver 1:1 and group support focused on life skills, independence, and personal development.
* Use strength-based approaches to assess and support young people with compassion and care.
* Develop and deliver engaging in-house programmes to boost learning, employability, and confidence.
* Promote youth involvement in service design through meetings and feedback.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
* Maintain accurate, confidential records including assessments and case notes.
* Support young people with budgeting, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment.
* Build strong networks with external partners to enhance support pathways.

Why Join LiveWest?

At LiveWest, we believe a home is more than a place—it’s a foundation for life. We are committed to creating safe, supportive environments where young people can thrive. You will be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. We offer a workplace where your voice matters, your wellbeing is supported, and your work truly makes a difference.

These roles are being offered on a part time, permanent basis working 18.5 hours per week. The working pattern is flexible to meet the needs of our young people and needs to ensure that Monday to Sunday are covered between the two roles. This is a scheme based role at our Bristol Foyer.

For further information about this role, please view our candidate information pack.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups. Appointment to this role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
