Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent part-time Fire Safety Adviser post. The Post Holder will undertake Fire Safety Adviser duties as specified in the Fire Safety Adviser Job Description.
Location: Property Department, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee
Remuneration: £33,247 - £41,424 per annum, pro rata
Responsibilities
* Undertake Fire Safety Adviser duties as specified in the Fire Safety Adviser Job Description.
Qualifications and experience
* Fire safety science or fire engineering education to HNC/HND level, with supporting experience applying fire safety in a workplace setting.
* Alternatively: completion of Fire & Rescue Service fire safety modules at the Fire Service College with subsequent enforcement officer experience.
* Alternatively: a fire engineering degree with practical experience in the workplace application of fire safety.
* Or other fire safety professional qualification e.g. CFPA Europe Diploma (CFPA Dip.).
* Thorough knowledge of fire risk assessment principles and best practice, and practical experience of undertaking the fire risk assessment process.
* Membership of a credible organisation related to fire safety preferred.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills and sound computing skills.
* Mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and compliance with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
