Exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional looking for the next challenge in their career and to join a global company who will support your progression into senior supply chain leadership.
On offer is a varied and high‑impact role where you will take ownership of the purchasing function, lead a team, and play a key role in driving operational efficiency and business performance.
The company operates worldwide across a range of sectors within Manufacturing and Engineering. The day‑to‑day of this role includes managing supplier relationships, overseeing procurement strategy, ensuring materials and services are delivered on time and in full, and driving cost‑reduction initiatives. You will also be responsible for ERP system management, supplier performance, and supporting production and engineering teams, with occasional national and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage purchasing and stores teams
* Lead procurement strategy and day‑to‑day operations
* Maintain and develop supplier relationships
* Ensure on‑time, on‑cost delivery of materials and services
* Drive cost‑reduction and efficiency initiatives
* Oversee ERP system management and data integrity
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, engineering and quality teams
* Occasional national and international travel as required
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong procurement background within manufacturing
* Experience with ERP systems and supplier management
* Leadership or supervisory experience
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
* CIPS qualification highly advantageous but not essential
