Jenson Fisher is delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing SME based in Glenrothes to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic finance team within a well-established organisation that values accuracy, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations and contributing to the smooth running of the accounts function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
* Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with invoice queries
* Assisting with bank reconciliations and cashbook maintenance
* Supporting month-end duties, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Providing general administrative and finance support to the wider team
To be successful, you must have previous experience in a similar finance role and be a strong user of both Microsoft Excel and accounting software. In addition, you will have strong organisational and communication skills and consider yourself a positive, team player with the ability to work independently.
