About The Team:
SRUC (Scotland’s Rural College) is a specialist higher education institution delivering tertiary education, research, and consultancy. Its primary aim is to promote education, science, research, and environmental protection and enhancement in rural and land-based industries, both nationally and internationally.
The Opportunity:
SRUC seeks an experienced administrator to join a flexible Faculty Office team that provides efficient, customer-focused administrative services related to students and research. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
1. Class and examination timetabling
2. Student enrolment and registration
3. Data entry and attendance records
4. Handling coursework submissions
5. Faculty finance and quality system management
6. Organizing graduation and awards
7. Student admissions, induction, discipline, complaints, and appeals
8. Coordination of schools' delivery, events, and research activities
9. Grant application development and delivery
10. Liaison with industry bodies
11. Resource allocation and record keeping
12. Audit preparation and facilitation
This role is vital for maintaining effective systems and procedures within SRUC’s academic records, admissions, and funding functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should have demonstrable experience in varied administrative roles, a good educational background, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive IT proficiency (notably in Microsoft Office and databases). Education to SCQF Level 4 is preferred.
Eligibility for Sponsorship:
This position is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. Migrant workers must have the appropriate visa to work in the UK.
