The role involves operating a Sony A7 IV camera with a Zoom lens as part of a four-camera setup, capturing high-quality footage for a live-streamed event. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless coverage and professional results, working closely with other camera operators and the production crew onsite.
Responsibilities
Operate a Sony A7 IV camera with a Zoom lens during live event coverage
Collaborate with the production team to achieve multi-camera coordination and smooth transitions
Set up and break down camera equipment as required each day
Monitor camera feeds and adjust framing, focus, and exposure in real time
Respond quickly to direction from the technical director or production lead
Ensure all footage meets broadcast standards for live-streaming
Maintain equipment care and troubleshoot minor technical issues onsite
Skills And Requirements
Proven experience operating Sony A7 series cameras, preferably in live event or broadcast settings
Strong understanding of camera operation, including focus, exposure, and composition
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, live production environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow direction
Punctuality and reliability for all scheduled event days
Must be available onsite in Newcastle upon Tyne for the full five-day event in July 2026
