We are looking for an enthusiastic OT who would like to work in a community setting with acute in reach. This post would be suitable for an experienced or newly qualified B5.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within an established team of Occupational Therapists. The focus for this post is provision of complex occupational therapy assessment and interventions to help maximise client function and independence focusing predominantly on rehabilitation and including the provision of equipment and adaptations.
The applicant should have effective communication, organisational and time management skills are essential as well as the ability to work independently and as part of the team.
We work with the adult population of Caithness within the hospital and the community setting, and you will be expected to work flexibly across the OT service. You will work within Multidisciplinary Teams, supervise Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioners, and Occupational Therapy students. Regular supervision is provided (including peer supervision opportunities) and opportunities for ongoing professional development are encouraged
You should have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
You should be HCPC registered and have full UK driving licence and access to a car
This is a fixed term 32 hours per week post, worked in accordance with service requirements. The post is fixed term to 8th February 2026.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
