Location: Epsom, Surrey, UK
Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 (DOE)
Employment type: Full‑time, Permanent
A major infrastructure engineering business is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Civil Design Engineer to join its growing energy infrastructure team in Epsom. This is an excellent opportunity to play a leading role in the delivery of nationally significant energy projects, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), substations and wider grid infrastructure developments that support the UK's transition to a more resilient and sustainable energy network.
You will be involved in the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions for major energy infrastructure projects across the UK, taking schemes from feasibility and concept design through to detailed design and construction support. Projects typically involve large‑scale BESS, substations and associated energy infrastructure, where you will design drainage systems, earthworks, site levels, access roads and wider civil engineering infrastructure. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate closely with electrical engineers and project teams to develop practical, buildable and cost‑effective engineering solutions, using Civil 3D and 3‑D modelling techniques and coordinating with stakeholders, contractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle. At the Principal level there will be opportunities to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and support delivery across multiple schemes.
If you are seeking a civil infrastructure design role and want a strong option at a consultancy that can support your growth, please apply directly or contact Michael from Aldwych Consulting on 07787 736 270.
