Location: Retallack Resort & Spa, St Columb, Cornwall, TR9 6DE
Salary: £28,510 per annum
Hours of work: Permanent Contract - 40 Hours per week
What We’ll Be Doing
As part of our team of holiday heroes, you will help the Park Services Manager to ensure everything is in good working order. You will carry out the following tasks:
* Carpentry: repair of doors, windows, kitchen units, walls and floors, signage, roofs, gutters and other wooden structures.
* Landscaping, including paving and fencing.
* Maintenance: replacing light bulbs, tiling, troubleshooting faulty locks, cutting keys.
* Carrying out maintenance checks and repairs during changeover days, working with other tradespeople when necessary.
* Carrying out hot‑tub checks and maintenance.
* Any other repair or maintenance work that cannot be handled by other staff.
Guests and staff rely on you to fix what’s broken and restore order. Confidence, friendliness, and an obliging attitude are essential, in addition to practical skills.
Work will also be required on bank holidays, evenings and weekends.
Skills, Experience, and Qualities
* Ability to carry out domestic repairs and maintenance (tiling, lock repairs, appliance installation).
* Understanding of Health & Safety at work.
* Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to think independently, be proactive, and demonstrate great people skills.
* Unfailing enthusiasm and extremely high standards of craftsmanship.
