Job Purpose:
The Regional Sourcing Manager will implement the best Global/local/sub-regional category-specific strategies, working closely with local procurement teams to identify and recommend “best in class” suppliers, maintaining good practices. They will lead supplier sourcing processes and negotiations at the European level, specializing in trucks, trailers, tires, and associated services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement best Global/local / sub-regional category-specific strategies.
2. Identify and recommend “best in class” suppliers, maintaining good working practices.
3. Lead supplier sourcing processes and negotiations at the European level.
4. Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research/intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets.
5. Establish local or sub-regional frame contracts.
6. Identify strategic sourcing opportunities and manage strategic suppliers.
7. Achieve greatest value contribution, benefit realization, and efficiency from all procurement activities.
8. Ensure fulfillment of joint goals with internal business partners by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price, and service.
9. Specialize in strategic sourcing of goods and services to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business.
10. Evaluate and compare suppliers based on total cost of ownership (TCO) and sustainability.
11. Develop lasting partnerships with traditional suppliers and manage larger complexity of contracts and new contract types (, with startups).
Qualifications & Key Requirements:
12. Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
13. Experience Level: More than 4 years in a similar role.
