West Lothian Council’s Justice Service are looking to recruit a Justice Assistant to work within the Service and support the implementation of our Domestic Abuse group work programme. The successful candidate will be expected to facilitate group work and be involved in the management of diverse, complex and challenging cases including violent and sexual offenders. While primarily based within the Justice Throughcare Team, the successful candidate will however be expected to work across the wider Justice Service to meet the exigencies of the wider service. Candidates must meet the essential criteria:
1. Significant previous experience of direct client contact in a Health, Social Care, or Justice setting.
2. Ability to work constructively with difficult and challenging people using authority appropriately.
3. Proven experience of working in partnership with other services.
4. Ability to understand and work within legislative and procedural frameworks.
5. Ability to communicate to a high standard in written and verbal form.
