JOB TITLE: Business Manager Household Products
LOCATION: Birmingham, West Midlands
INDUSTRY: Household Products
SALARY: £45,000 to £65,000 + Commission / Bonus & Company Car

Company overview: Our client, a long-established leader in the Household Products sector, supplies a comprehensive range of high-demand consumer goods to major supermarket chains across the UK. They are seeking to appoint a dynamic Business Manager to drive sales and expand their customer base within the food packaging and household products space. This is a key commercial role within a forward-thinking and results-driven business.

Role overview: You will take ownership of new business development and key account management activities, particularly targeting large UK supermarket retailers. You will leverage your existing network and industry knowledge to unlock opportunities and build long-term partnerships. This role suits a proactive, self-motivated professional with a strong track record in food packaging or household product sales, who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities

* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the UK retail sector, focusing on household and food packaging products.
* Manage and grow key supermarket accounts, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and retention.
* Meet and exceed sales targets through effective planning, prospecting, and relationship management.
* Develop and implement sales strategies in line with company objectives.
* Provide regular updates, pipeline reports, and market feedback to senior management.
* Maintain a high level of product and market knowledge to support client discussions.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure client needs are met effectively.


Candidate Requirements

* Minimum 3 years of proven sales success in the Household Products or Food Packaging industry.
* Demonstrable experience in both new business development and account management.
* Strong, established relationships within UK supermarkets and retail chains are highly desirable.
* Highly organised with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Target-driven and commercially astute with a clear focus on delivering results.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
* Full UK driving licence (company car provided).
