Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate effectively within the delivery area. The Courier will operate a van or similar vehicle, ensuring that all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
We work with Evri to deliver parcels, we are contractors and we're looking to hire people who are looking for 6 days a week work in the greater Manchester area
Duties
* Collect and deliver packages, documents, and other items as per scheduled routes.
* Ensure timely delivery while adhering to traffic regulations and safety protocols.
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Perform inspections on the vehicle before and after each shift to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Handle heavy lifting of packages when necessary, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used to avoid injury.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including any relevant documentation.
* Assist in warehouse operations when required, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong commercial driving skills with a valid driving licence suitable for operating vans.
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues.
* Experience with heavy lifting and handling of goods in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
* Familiarity with local roads and navigation systems is essential for efficient route planning.
* Living close to the depot is preferred although not essential
* Our guys use their own transport
* We pay per parcel delivered so its an opportunity if you work hard to earn good money
