We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join a high-profile government programme. This role will play a key part in shaping enterprise architecture strategy and driving business and technology transformation across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior architect to influence large-scale change, define architectural strategy, and guide complex technology decisions in a secure environment.
The Role
Enterprise Architects operate at a strategic level across the organisation, translating business strategy into technology and change delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Defining the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmaps across business, technology and data domains
* Leading the design of cross-cutting capabilities that support organisational transformation
* Developing “as-is”, “to-be”, and transition architectures
* Providing strategic guidance to ensure solutions deliver scalability, sustainability and value for money
* Establishing architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks
* Collaborating with senior stakeholders across programmes and portfolios
* Identifying emerging industry trends and assessing their impact on the organisation
* Supporting and developing the architecture community and capability
Key Skills & Experience
* Experience designing enterprise architectures covering technology, people, processes, and data
* Ability to ensure organisation-wide changes align with the architectural strategy
Strategic Thinking & Horizon Scanning
* Understanding of industry trends, policy changes, and emerging technologies
* Ability to anticipate risks and build resilience into architectural strategy
Stakeholder Communication
* Strong ability to communicate architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Skilled in facilitating complex architecture discussions and decision-making
Governance & Decision Making
* Experience guiding high-risk architectural decisions
* Knowledge of architecture governance, assurance, and risk management
Collaboration & Community Development
* Proven ability to unblock complex cross-team issues
* Experience building and mentoring architecture communities
* Ability to frame and structure complex organisational problems
* Skilled at challenging assumptions and identifying strategic solution options
Qualifications
One of the following architecture certifications:
* TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework)
* ISEB (Information Systems Examination Board)
