Job Role As a Quality Inspector, you will be required to conduct pressure tests and inspections on any ATL products, as well as goods in inspection, reporting any issues found to a Quality Engineer or Quality Supervisor. ATL have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join the team in our Quality Control department. The successful candidate will ensure the inspection and testing of all fuel cells and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department. There will be full training given to the successful candidate upon starting in the role. We are looking for somebody with a keen interest in Quality Control and experience working in a Quality inspection role, using equipment such as verniers and height gauges. Main Duties
1. Inspect and pressure test machined, fabricated, electrical and composite parts, reporting any issues found
2. Inspection, marking & processing of Bladders through to Final Assembly from Cell Production
3. Inspection, marking & processing of Bladders through to Despatch from Cell Production or Final Assembly
4. Label parts once inspected while maintaining records in our ERP system and MS Excel logs
5. Support buddy checks within the Engineering Workshop, Moulding & Final Assembly departments as required
6. Conduct derivative testing on raw material samples as required following detailed work instructions
7. Work with the rest of the Quality team to deliver continual improvement across the department
8. Work with the rest of the Quality department to ensure that all production areas’ Quality Control requirements are supported
9. Using hand metrology equipment to quality control parts
10. Produce inspection reports on items requiring First Article Inspection
11. Maintain QMS critical logs including (but not limited to) those for FIA serial numbers and bond viscosity
12. Assess customer returned bladders before repair or recertifications
13. Raise Internal and Supplier rejects
14. Escalating issues found to the correct party in a timely manner
15. Use environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policy
16. Seek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectives

17. One year of relevant professional experience
18. Fluent in English
19. Pass in GCSE English & Maths as a minimum
20. Qualification in an engineering discipline would be advantageous for this position
21. Experience using basic & electronic metrology equipment
22. Experience working within a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
23. Experience of ISO QMS and BS EN reporting are desirable but not essential
24. Experience using equipment such as verniers and height gauges is desirable.
25. Ability to read Engineering drawings
26. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
27. Knowledge of relevant TS/VDA standards and relevant FIA regulations & standards are desirable but not essential
