Vehicle Technician - Franchised Car Dealership, Guildford Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 basic Bonuses Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (No weekends) Bonus Structure: Paid on hourly rate, starting at 70% efficiency Optional Overtime: Saturdays available at time and a half (No expectation to work weekends) Holiday: 21 days bank holidays (increases over time) We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our franchised car dealership team in Guildford. Key Responsibilities: Diagnostics & Triage: Identify issues efficiently and determine whether to fix the vehicle yourself or delegate the repair, ensuring sign-off. Training will be provided for this depending on your current skill level. Mechanical & Electrical Repairs: Carry out high-quality repairs and servicing to manufacturer standards. Efficient Work Practice: Maintain high productivity and efficiency, ensuring vehicles are diagnosed and repaired promptly. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the workshop. Manufacturer Training: Stay up to date with the latest vehicle technologies and diagnostic procedures. What We Are Looking For: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. Some diagnostic skills with experience in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Ability to work efficiently, with attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Previous experience in a franchised dealership preferred but not essential.
