QSW - Childrens - Regional Fostering Lead
About the Role
The postholder will serve as the regionalization fostering lead within the fostering service. They will report to the Head of Fostering. This role is crucial for expanding our fostering placement sufficiency and stability through the regional recruitment hub. The postholder will be the primary link between the regional and our sub-cluster recruitment efforts.
Responsibilities include:
* Attending regional and cluster meetings
* Assisting with expansion initiatives
* Supporting initial visits of prospective carers
* Participating in events
* Providing support for inquiry services
* Supervising the recruitment support officer

Experience and Knowledge:
* Previous experience supervising social workers in child social care or fostering is necessary.
* Familiarity with the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards is crucial.
* Stay informed about current national policies, evidence-based research, and best practices in children's social care.
Assessment Skills:
* Demonstrated experience in writing assessments, including Form F and Form C.
* Professional Communication:
* Ability to explain professional reasoning, judgments, and decisions constructively and supportively through various communication methods.
Qualifications and Registration:
* Hold a professional social work qualification, such as CQSW or Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), recognized by Social Work England.
* Maintain active registration with Social Work England and provide evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
Case Management:
* Experience in managing an allocated caseload, including complex cases.
* Efficiently plan and organize work to meet statutory deadlines.
