Teaching Assistant specialising in SEMH/Behaviour Teaching Personnel are the exclusive partner of a Trust supporting a network of Primary and Secondary Schools primarily across Milton Keynes. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant specialising in Behaviour, to join one of the Secondary Academies as soon as possible. Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire Start date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm or Permanent contract on offer Pay : Daily rate equivalent to £19,000 - £23,000 PA This specific role is open to Teaching Assistants able to provide specialist support in SEMH/Behaviour. You would become part of the SEND Team at this Secondary School, supporting students with SEMH and Social Communication Interaction (C&I) experiencing difficulties to access the curriculum in manstream lessons in a group or 1:1 interventions. As a Teaching Assistant, no day is the same. Your role is part of a large team who are responsible for supporting students with SEMH/C&I and related interaction disorders. As you assist the students with their academic and social development under the direction of the SENCO, you will consider the needs of the student to provide appropriate support through resources or strategies to promote learning. The ideal applicant would demonstrate: Strong understanding of SEMH Ablity to recognise trigger signals to indicate child's emotional dysregulation Calm nature Positive attitude Ability to build positive relationships with pupils who may demonstrate resistant or challenging behaviour Excellent knowledge of SEND Level 1 qualification TA or supporting learning in school High levels of resilience and emotional intelligence.
