A day in the life of a Murphy IT Analyst/Support Engineer:
- Collaborate within the IT department and with the wider business to support new service go-lives and project delivery.
- Create, update, escalate, and close IT Operations tickets in line with SLA and Service Desk processes.
- Visit sites as required to set up IT equipment, ensuring consistency and standardization according to KPIs.
- Ensure all office IT equipment is delivered and collected from users to support agile working.
- Set up and support site IT systems and equipment such as switches and wireless access points, ensuring they meet standards, are documented, asset-tagged, and tracked.
- Support core desktop and mobile systems, including deployment of company mobiles and mobile devices, and support Teams rooms VC suites.
- Assist IT Management in following department procedures and policies.
- Participate in IT departmental and technical meetings to review progress and issues.
- Maintain safety and tidiness in IT server rooms, workshop areas, and project sites, reporting issues to IT management.
- Understand business needs and suggest improvements to IT processes.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
