A global organisation are looking forfor a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their site Barnstaple. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure high levels of reliability and efficiency across the site. Youll be part of a close-knit engineering team that supports continuous improvement, drives equipment reliability, and contributes to a safe and productive working environment. Key Responsibilities Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a range of manufacturing machinery and systems. Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults in a timely manner to minimise downtime. Support process improvements and reliability projects across the site. Work collaboratively with production and technical teams to achieve performance targets. Maintain accurate maintenance records through the sites CMMS system. Uphold strict health, safety, and environmental standards at all times. About You Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in engineering (minimum NVQ Level 3 / HNC / ONC ). Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer in a manufacturing or FMCG environment. Strong fault-finding skills across both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Experience with PLC-controlled machinery, drives, and automated systems (advantageous). Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
