Tate Recruitment have a temp booking with a client in Nottingham who would appreciate a reliable, conscientious Accounts Payable Assistant to join their established finance team during a particularly busy period. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a friendly, supportive group while enjoying the stability of a full-time temporary assignment.
The Role
You will be joining a team of 13 Ledger Clerks, each responsible for supporting a set of internal departments. This is a structured Accounts Payable position suited to someone who works methodically and enjoys owning their own remit.
You will typically process (Apply online only) invoices per month. Although not heavy in volume, each invoice requires electronic approval, and many may be held in query meaning confident communication and efficient problem‑solving skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Processing invoices efficiently through the electronic approval workflow.
Ensuring invoices have a PO allocated.
Investigating and resolving invoice queries.
Completing elements of manual data entry.
Allocating appropriate nominal codes.
Managing your own workload while supporting team cover where needed.
Systems & Training
The business uses bespoke finance software. While likely new to you, it is intuitive and easy to learn. Previous experience with online accounts systems or digital finance tools will be highly advantageous.
