Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor – Antrim
Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently recruiting a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to support the supervision of the Dispatch department.
Main duties:
* Management of inventory to ensure that stock levels are maintained in line with operational needs.
* Management and control of materials issued to shop floor in line with materials requisition system.
* Co-ordination of goods receiving to ensure timely storage & issuing of materials, ensuring all goods received are packed and stored safely
* Management of goods inwards inspection systems and quality issues with suppliers.
* Oversee the implementation of FSC systems and management of record keeping and material issue systems. Co-ordination of moisture checking systems for material received.
* Oversee annual stock take, management of costs, overheads and personnel related to warehouse.
* Comply with applicable environmental and health and safety regulations, policies and procedures and ensure that quality standards are met and maintained
* Ensure all equipment requiring calibration & equipment requiring safety checks are kept up to date.
* Arrange cost effective movement of goods from Factory to sites, and material from suppliers & sites
* Maintain service plan for Mivan commercial vehicle fleet and Factory lifting equipment
* Arrange transport requirements for site-based personnel, and maintain and control transport supplier database
* Overseeing packing and wrapping of items in preparation for dispatch and loading
* Operation of forklift truck and other driving duties as required
* Any other tasks or duties within the Job Holder's sphere of knowledge, experience and competency
Essential Criteria:
* Previous experience in a similar role including management and ordering of stock and co-ordination of goods in / goods out.
* Proven managerial experience, ability to lead a team, to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
* Good communication skills.
* Good negotiation skills.
* Ability to plan and organise workload
* Good IT skills including experience of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Preferred Criteria:
* Forklift licence
* Previous experience in a similar role
