The Role: The successful Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a pipeline of new business opportunities worth millions of pounds with national multisite organisations within the public and private sectors such as education, hospitals, hotel chains, and retail to deliver profitable revenue growth. You will be responsible for managing your daily activities, journey planning, proactively setting up business meetings, and driving sales by offering high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively seek new business on a national basis to meet set targets
* Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual new business targets
* Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activity on the CRM
* Produce and present weekly, monthly, quarterly personal performance reports
* Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders such as the Depot Manager and Operations team to roll out sales initiatives within the region
* Be the primary interface for target customers
* Present to board level
* Work with tenders and bids team when preparing tenders
* Responsible for sales prospecting and pricing negotiations

Candidate Criteria:
* Corporate sales experience selling high-value, complex services
* Ideally, a background in waste or facilities management
* Experience selling at head office level to decision-makers
* Selling £500,000 to over £1 million order values
* Experience in consultative sales, bids, and tenders
* Proven track record in new business sales
