Overview
Join to apply for the Pharmacy Assistant/Modern Apprentice role at NHS Highland. This is a full-time permanent post based at Caithness General Hospital in Wick.
Responsibilities and Training
You will work as part of the Pharmacy team and have the opportunity to work closely with pharmacy technicians and pharmacists. You will work through a structured training programme towards achieving the SVQ Pharmacy Services qualification at SCQF Level 6 to meet the General Pharmaceutical Council minimum training requirements for the role. You will be required to participate in departmental rotas for late opening and public holidays.
Requirements and Qualifications
* You must be enthusiastic with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities, good communication skills and a strong teamwork ethic.
* You must demonstrate good written communication skills and be hard working with good attention to detail. You will need to be flexible in your approach and committed to completing the training programme.
* Applicants must have achieved 3 National 4 qualifications (or SCQF equivalent), including English, Maths and a Science subject as a minimum.
* You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support workers in Scotland and to comply with the code of conduct throughout your employment.
Employment Details
This is a full-time permanent post of 37 hours per week, to be worked in accordance with service requirements.
