Nestled in the heart of Chelmsford this prestigious independent school - New Hall School caters for day pupils as well as boarders and staff and includes not only a breakfast, lunch and supper service but also an extensive hospitality service. This operates 5 over 7 days a week

Job Description
As a General Assistant you will…
* Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
* Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
* Following proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
* Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
* Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
* Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
* Ideally have experience working within Education catering
* Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
* Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
* Fun and enthusiastic
* Have excellent organization skills.
* Demonstrate great attention to detail.
