Your Role
Our Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) Capability Unit is the home of our experts in data & AI strategy, innovation, transformation and insights, supporting clients in using advanced data, analytics and AI solutions to solve complex business problems. This high‑profile Director role focuses on new business in the telecoms & media sector, selling consulting opportunities exceeding £2 million per year. You will contribute to thought leadership and team management across multiple capability areas with a focus on data, insights and AI, including data management, business intelligence, data science and AI innovation.
In this role you will help set the direction, drive forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team. Key expectations include:
* Working with the Capgemini Invent EDA leadership team and our Telecoms & Media sector team to grow our data and AI capability and develop sector‑specific offers.
* Managing the performance and growth of data & AI consultants, supporting career growth, guiding L&D priorities and driving recruitment.
* Building long‑lasting senior client relationships in the Telecoms & Media sector and creating a sustainable business development pipeline.
* Inspiring clients to innovate with AI and derive value from their data.
* Helping clients design AI strategies and adopt robust data‑management approaches.
* Leading and managing large delivery programmes with data and AI at the core.
* Creating thought leadership and new propositions that reflect Capgemini Invent’s leading position in AI, data science and analytics consulting.
As part of your role you will contribute to the business and your own personal growth through activities in the following categories:
* Business Development – Leading or contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contributions, client hosting at events.
* Internal Contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, white papers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
* Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and meet the skills demand within the company, certifications, etc.
Your Profile
You will already be a leader within Data & AI consulting and ready to take your career to the next level, having led data and AI teams within a large consultancy and possessing relationships at senior levels in the Telecoms & Media sector.
Specifically, You Will Bring:
* Good existing relationships with senior clients responsible for data & AI in the Telecoms & Media sector.
* Experience defining data strategies and shaping integrated AI or data‑science services that deliver the client’s vision across technology and business functions.
* A deep understanding of AI trends and their impact on our clients.
You Will Also Require:
* Strong management‑consulting experience with proven success across data and AI.
* Proven track record in new business development/account management across the full sales lifecycle, with a personal sales target of circa £2 million per annum of consulting business.
* Ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation and enlist support from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
* Credibility and personal impact, respected by colleagues and clients.
* Versatility and collaborative style, empathy, confidence in content, and focus on outcomes at all levels in the client organisation.
* A passion to shape, motivate and deliver AI, Data Science and Analytics work.
