The River House are looking for a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in one of the best locations in Swansea.
Established in 2014, The River House is widely known as one of the best restaurants in Swansea, winning several awards since opening. Situated in a Grade II listed building, overlooking the Sail Bridge and Marina, the restaurant has a unique character with an outstanding location. We have a 65 cover restaurant, 70 cover lounge area and 100 cover terrace area (spring/summer use only).
Out ethos is fine dining with our restaurant food cooked to at least a one rosette standard. We use fresh, seasonal ingredients to produce great menus cooked from scratch. As the Head Chef you will be responsible for continuing the success of this business, and ensuring that high standards are delivered to ensure great customer satisfaction and delivering top quality dishes every time. Leadership skills are essential for this key role and communication is paramount in this high volume, fast paced environment. We also offer a high quality 'lounge' menu with more casual, light dining.

What are we looking for?
* An experieced and passionate Head Chef with an excellent eye for detail and fine dining cooking.
* Experience and knowledge of GP's and stock management.
* A thorough understanding of all food and hygiene regulations.
* Experience in developing and inspiring a kitchen team to become future leaders and run a successful kitchen.
* A team player with great communication and training skills.
* To be creative and inventive and develop menus with their own ideas.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and safety.
* Lead and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Develop and implement menus, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Maintain inventory and order supplies to ensure smooth kitchen functioning.
* Train and mentor kitchen team members, enhancing their culinary skills and knowledge.
* Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
