Be-Resourcing is excited to introduce a new opportunity for a Business Development Account Manager to join our client, a leader in the design and manufacture of advanced building control, remote monitoring and energy management products. \n\nOur client are looking for an experienced Business Development / Account Manager whose primary focus will be in the Refrigeration-Retail sector, but additionally they will be expected to cover the full product range inclusive of applications and sales channels. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience dealing with contractors, end users, specifiers and system integrators.\n\nThe successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Sales UK & EMEA whilst playing a full part across the various divisions our clients’ organisation, which include meetings in the Glasgow based Head Office, sales forecasting, customer finance issues, whilst working within all procedures and processes.\n\nThe Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts, targeting new business sectors in line with departmental strategy, and for delivering client focused solutions based on customer needs.
They will also be responsible for maintaining a strong sales pipeline through effective relationship building, account management and new business lead generation.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nPlay an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients.\n\t\nResponsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct and indirect sales channels.\n\t\nFocus on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business opportunities.\n\t\nAct as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions.\n\t\nDeal with the different entities and departments of major retail chains.\n\t\nIdentify and assess the client’s critical needs.\n\t\nIdentify short and long term growth opportunities.\n\t\nPresent business proposals to existing and prospective clients.\n\t\nAttend meetings with clients.\n\t\nForecast and track key account metrics.\n\t\nKeep up to date with market trends and competitor activity.\n\t\nBe a point of contact to priority customers and resolve any issues that arise.\n\t\nCollect and communicate customer requirements to all necessary departments.\n\t\nConduct regular Business Reviews with customers and internal employees.\n\t\nRespond to client communications or queries promptly.\n\t\nNetwork with business partners and customers.\n\t\nEnsure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM.\n\t\nAssist in resolving any outstanding financial disputes with clients and customers, in order to achieve the best outcome for the organization.\n\t\nActively promote applicable products and services with the target customer base, gaining orders, specification and standardisation. \n\t\nDefine technical requirements with customers to produce cost effective and deliverable solutions.\n\t\nEstablish and implement dynamic sales plans in accordance with:\n\nPersonal Sales plan (PSP)\n\t\t\nDepartmental Business plan\n\t\t\nCompany policy, objectives and strategy.\n\nIn consultation with line manager, constantly review our customer base to maintain the balance of target and reactive accounts.\n\t\nWork with internal colleagues in all Entity Sales, Marketing, Technical teams to ensure effective cross-entity, regional and national team co-operation. \n\t\nEnsure that customer issues are owned and resolved by appropriate owners within the business units.
\n\t\nProvide all relevant accurate information, reporting in a timely manner as required by Senior Management, and provide feedback to the Marketing department.\n\t\nManage and maintain customer and partner records using the appropriate company tools (CRM).\n\t\nActively monitor and report on competitor activity.\n\t\nPersonal awareness of development needs in-line with knowledge and skills required for the role.\n\nWorking Hours and Location:\n\nThe position by necessity is based from your home location, although pre-arranged travel to the Glasgow Head office and client meetings will be required.
