Electrical Engineer
Location: RAF Croughton & RAF Barford St John's
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (on-call rota, max 1 in 4 weeks)
Salary: £42,000 per annum
The Opportunity Hays is working with a leading facilities management provider supporting to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer. This is a client-facing role within a high-performing team, maintaining critical electrical systems across two sites.
You'll be working on a mix of commercial, technical and accommodation buildings, ensuring assets are safe, compliant and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs
* Complete electrical compliance testing
* Undertake minor electrical installation works
* Accurately record work using a digital tablet and reporting system
* Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
* Travel between sites using company vehicles where required
What You'll Need
* City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification
* Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial environment
* Strong understanding of health & safety, supported by a relevant qualification
* Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
Desirable (but not essential)
* Authorised Person (AP) or Authorising Engineer (AE) experience
* Fixed wire inspection experience
* PASMA and/or IPAF certifications
