Morson Edge is recruiting Aircraft Avionic Fitters to support the UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS) H135 and H145 fleet. This is an opportunity to join one of the most established rotary aviation support programmes in the UK, supporting aircraft that play a critical role in military pilot training. Working across both Line and Base Maintenance environments, you'll be part of a professional engineering team focused on aircraft availability, operational excellence, and safety. Whether your background is military or civilian aviation, this role offers the chance to work on modern helicopter platforms within a structured and supportive maintenance environment. The Role You will provide engineering support across the H135 and H145 fleet, carrying out avionic and electrical maintenance activities to ensure continued aircraft serviceability and operational readiness. The role combines hands-on aircraft maintenance with workshop activities and support to daily flying operations. Key Responsibilities Provide engineering support to Flight Operations Carry out maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Supervisors and Certifying Engineers Complete maintenance on aircraft avionic and electrical systems in accordance with approved data and OEM instructions Conduct off-aircraft workshop activities as required Support aircraft movements and hangar operations Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and compliance Assist with day-to-day hangar activities and housekeeping responsibilities Support achievement of fleet availability targets Requirements Essential: Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification Experience of Aircraft Base Maintenance Experience supporting Flight Operations and Line Maintenance Thorough knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionic systems Experience using specialist avionic test equipment Desirable: H135 experience Military aviation experience Knowledge of UK MFTS operations Understanding of Part 145 and Part M regulations Previous rotary-wing maintenance experience The Setting Support of the UK Military Flying Training System H135 and H145 helicopter fleet Mix of Line, Base, and Workshop Maintenance Professional rotary aviation environment Strong focus on training, standards, and aircraft availability Long-term contract opportunity A skilled trade.
