Summary:
Our Store Managers are accountable for all aspects of retail store operations. From delivering exceptional customer service to ensuring all areas of the store are performing and running like clockwork.
A few key responsibilities:
● To set targets and standards for staff in relation to Company Objectives.
● To set, demonstrate and monitor high standards of customer service.
● To maximize sales through effective use of promotions, display and events.
● To monitor stock levels and liaise with Head Office (HO) and Heads Of Department (HODs) as needed to maximize sales and manage costs.
● To review store procedures and introduce initiatives to increase efficiency whenever possible.
● To provide constructive, timely and specific feedback to direct reports.
● To build teams, lead by example and provide a positive and supportive working environment.
● To hold effective meetings with direct reports and conduct effective staff forums.
● To build constructive working relationships with all colleagues
● To own all store problems and seek to resolve them in a timely way
● To manage and encourage staff development throughout the store.
● To review store procedures to maximize efficiency and ensure company goals are met.
● To drive sales through effective merchandising and display and good stock availability.
● To participate in annual stocktake as required.
Who We're Looking For:
· A minimum of 2 years' experience as a leader, someone who has managed a large retail team before in a fast paced retail environment
· An appreciate and understand of Forbidden Planets culture and its appeal to a large market
· A problem solver, someone who tackles issues head on
