Job description: RECEPTIONIST Location: Fox Hollies Leisure Centre, Birmingham B27 7NS Salary : £19,710.05 per annum plus excellent benefits Schedule: 30 hours per week to cover a mixture of early, late & weekend shifts Here at Birmingham Community Leisure Trust our goal is to encourage active, healthy lifestyles in an environment that is safe, warm, clean, friendly and fun. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for Receptionist to join our team Ready to impact a better future As a Receptionist in our Fox Hollies team, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and a vital part of our front-of-house team. You will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility by delivering exceptional customer service, handling enquiries efficiently, and promoting our wide range of products and services. Working closely with fellow receptionists and reporting directly to the Duty Manager, you will help create a welcoming, professional and positive environment for all visitors. Your role will be key in ensuring customers receive accurate information, seamless booking support, and a high-quality experience from the moment they arrive. What you’ll do as a Receptionist Operate our computerised front-of-house system Handle cash transactions, issue receipts, and balance daily income Bank daily income in line with financial procedures Manage facility bookings and enquiries (in person and by phone) Deliver exceptional customer service at all times Promote and sell our products and services across sites Follow established sales processes for Health & Fitness and Swimming Lessons Support marketing initiatives by displaying and assisting with promotional materials Follow all Health & Safety procedures Carry out additional duties as required by the Duty Manager Does this sound like you? Excellent customer care and communication skills Confidence dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone Strong computer literacy The ability to stay calm and effective in busy or high-pressure situations Experience working in a busy leisure environment (desirable) Experience serving high volumes of adults and children Vetting and checks: As well as checking eligibility to work in the UK, you will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
