Job Description
RINA Aerospace & Defence (ASD) Consulting is seeking a high-caliber, experienced Cyber Consultant to join our Defence Air Safety team, delivering Airworthiness activities for national and international clients.
The Cyber team works on advanced UK Defence platforms, including unmanned air systems, Apache, Wildcat, Chinook, and Typhoon. The successful candidate will lead Cyber Assurance projects, focusing on identifying cyber risks and threats for interconnected assets and platforms, and advising clients on risk management frameworks.

The Role
The Senior Cyber Consultant should have a solid Cyber Security background, especially in cyber risk and threat identification within Defence contexts. The role involves working on diverse projects and providing expert guidance.
Responsibilities include:
* Developing Cyber Security arguments, including authoring, reviewing, and auditing Safety Cases related to Cyber Security risks.
* Engaging with client personnel at all levels to identify cyber threats on platforms such as remote pilot air systems.
* Managing Cyber Security projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
* Conducting comprehensive Risk Management assessments and designing risk frameworks.
* Ensuring assets are secure by design and compliant with JSP 440 standards.
* Supporting Bid Management with proposals focused on Cyber Security.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Extensive experience with Defence programmes, particularly in airworthiness and cyber risk assessment.
* At least five years of Cyber Security assessment and risk management experience on air platforms.
* Knowledge of Defence Standards such as Def Stans 00-970, 055, 056, and 326A series.
* Understanding of JSP 440 and MAA's MACP is preferred.
* Degree in Computer Science, Science, Mathematics, or Engineering is preferred.
* Existing UK Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
* Experience working for Defence contractors, consultancies, or military service.
