The Role As Audit Manager, youll take ownership of a diverse audit portfolio across a range of sectors, including owner-managed businesses, larger corporates, and not-for-profit organisations. Youll be a key point of contact for clients and will work closely with partners to ensure consistently high standards are delivered.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion and sign-off
Managing and reviewing the work of on-site audit teams
Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements under UK GAAP
Acting as the main client contact during audit assignments
Identifying audit and business risks, and providing practical recommendations
Mentoring, developing, and supporting trainees and senior team members
Liaising with partners on delivery, resourcing, and client matters
What Youll Bring ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Strong background in external audit within UK practice
Excellent technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
Proven experience managing audit assignments and supervising teams
Confident, professional communicator with strong client-facing skills
Organised, commercially aware, and proactive in your approach
