Shift Pattern
You’ll begin on weekend night shifts for around 18 months, rotating weekly between 33 and 36 hours, before moving onto a rotating 3‑shift pattern (days, afternoons, nights) working 33 hours (Mon–Thu) or 39 hours (Mon–Fri).

The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Product Quality Technician to join our Quality Team in Stockton. This hands‑on role involves using precision measurement tools such as Co‑ordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), portable CMMs, verniers, and micrometers to inspect a wide range of fabrications. You’ll play a key part in auditing, problem‑solving, and producing detailed reports, while working closely with customers, engineers, and shop‑floor teams.
What You Will Do
* Act as first point of contact for all fabrication quality issues.
* Investigate fabrication problems and identify root causes.
* Inspect and reject defective materials.
* Report quality issues during shift meetings.
* Support stock quality checks and investigations.
* Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) pilot builds and production launches.
What You Can Demonstrate
* Technical skills & experience: Skilled in fabrication or manufacturing environments, able to read engineering drawings and specifications. Proficient in using measurement tools and performing dimensional inspections, including CMM operation, essential for ensuring product quality and compliance.
* Communication & collaboration: Strong communicator, able to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders. Confident in presenting and discussing quality reports, key to driving transparency and continuous improvement.
* Initiative & problem solving: Highly self‑motivated with a proactive approach. Proven success in investigating issues and driving root cause analysis to prevent recurrence and support operational excellence.
* Digital & process knowledge: Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Solid understanding of product and assembly processes, enabling efficient documentation and process optimisation.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
* ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in a technical subject.
* Working knowledge of Glovia (preferred), supporting effective use of business systems.
