About you
We're looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our busy Kitchen Team.
The Picturehouse Central Kitchen Team deliver high standards across the board and as well as serving our Daily Brunch, Main, Pizza and Kids Menu we also cater for a number of events.
We've hosted Film Festivals, Corporate Events, Industry Events, Weddings, Receptions, Birthday Parties and everything in between so flexibility is key when joining as a member of the Kitchen Team.
Previous experience in Kitchens is a MUST and there will be an expectation to get involved in all aspects of the Kitchen Operation from KP duties (washing up/cleaning/maintaining high H&S standards) to preparing, c
What you will be doing
General Kitchen Duties
* You will deliver our menus to company specification, served in a timely manner from the kitchens.
* You will prepare dishes to company specification sheets. Preparing and cooking food to consistently high standards of presentation, following company plating guidelines.
* You will receive deliveries as per company procedure, ensuring discrepancies are actioned and HACCP procedures are followed
* You will ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
Health & Safety – You will:
* You will follow all Health & Safety Policies with a Spot it, Sort it approach
* You will work efficiently using all pieces of equipment (you have been trained on) correctly and with care, including helping monitor maintenance or repairs advising the relevant people of any issues immediately
* You will open and close kitchen areas, ensuring the relevant supporting paperwork is complete and basic daily cleaning duties including but not limited to crockery, pots, pans etc. and removing of rubbish as required
* You will be expected to attend regular staff meetings and shift briefings and keep up to date on staff communications
* You will adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring Food Hygiene, Kitchen Cleanliness and other health and safety responsibilities are followed at all times maintaining a 5* rating
Product Knowledge and Sales
* You will ensure all wastage is correctly recorded by following the wastage process, whilst maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and food presentation in line with policy
