Project Engineer Sector: Manufacturing (non-food) Location: Suffolk Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Circa £42,400 > £44,600 p/a Hours: Monday to Friday - Days iSQ Recruitment is excited to partner with a global leader in packaging manufacturing to recruit a Project Engineer for their cutting-edge production site. This role is part of the Projects & Site Services Team and would suit someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is passionate about continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You’ll play a key role in delivering engineering projects that support safe, efficient and sustainable production. * Please note this client does not offer VISA sponsorship, only candidates with full Right to Work in the UK, relevant experience, and a full UK driving license with own vehicle will be considered. Install, relocate and decommission a variety of production machinery and associated equipment. Adapt quickly to changing project priorities while maintaining high work standards. Complete and review risk assessments. Support maintenance and production teams to improve efficiency and achieve KPI targets. Occasionally travel to other company sites as required. Criteria: Qualified in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline, with strong understanding of the second (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Experience in plastics manufacturing. Knowledge of production equipment maintenance and refurbishment. Ability to work independently and make effective, safe decisions. Understanding of basic machinery safety regulations such as PUWER (desirable). Forklift license (desirable). Skills & Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong initiative, accountability and problem-solving ability. Adaptable and methodical. Strong communicator. Good judgement and risk awareness.
