Job Purpose:
To form part of the Estimating Team in meeting Sales Targets and company objectives – both for existing clients and new opportunities within Mission Critical Solutions.
Principal Accountabilities: Conduct accurate mechanical estimates for a range of projects within the MCS portfolio
1. Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements.
2. To have industry knowledge to keep abreast of competitors methodologies.
3. Provide information and prepare and compilation of proposal submissions including solution and option appraisal of new methods of Project delivery to identify valid and viable commercial delivery options.
4. Proactive approach to the continuous improvement in communications, management procedures and systems to maximise profitability and improve operational efficiencies.
5. Management of the implementation of ‘best practice’.
6. Management of the implementation of common practice across the division to ensure meaningful commercial and operational datum’s are established.
7. Obtaining specialist subcontractor costs.
8. Read and understand the client requests / documentation.
9. Attend site visits as required across the UK as part of the bid process.
10. Assist in the production of correspondence and documentation.
11. Update Pipeline Reporting System and to contribute, to the generation of BD Management information reports.
12. Attend Divisional Bid Meetings.
13. Progressing submitted tenders.
14. Assist in formulation of tender returns.
15. Establishing agreed benchmarks for performance.
16. Measurement of performance versus contracted requirements.
17. Identification of a broad range of cost saving initiatives in line with contractual obligations.
18. Interactions with client organisations as required, providing meaningful reports and proactive data and information.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience:
19. Educated to HNC/HND Standard (or equivalent).
20. Ideally have experience in Data Centre projects
21. Excellent management experience.
22. Relevant experience of estimating within a Building services contractor
23. Proficient IT Skills to include, Word, Powerpoint and EXCEL.
