We’re supporting a well-established community primary school in Gateshead with a warm, inclusive ethos and a real focus on meeting the needs of every child. The school educates around 410 pupils aged 3-11, with a diverse community and a vibrant atmosphere where curiosity and confidence flourish.
As a Graduate Year 2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with experienced teachers to support learning in Year 2, helping pupils access the curriculum, build key skills and enjoy their school experience.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting a Year 2 class with day-to-day learning activities
* Helping pupils access classwork, including reading, writing and maths support
* Working 1-to-1 or in small groups to build confidence and independence
* Supporting behaviour for learning with consistency and kindness
* Encouraging positive interactions and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
