Overview
In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. You’ll work across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, focusing on delivering high-quality care that recognises residents as individuals with their own stories.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join our team at our care home. Whether providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care, our aim is to deliver the highest quality service at all times. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you’ll support the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of our residents.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and meals.
* Deliver care with compassion, helping residents maintain dignity and individuality.
* Support residents with mobility and the use of aids where needed.
* Provide emotional support to residents who are confused or distressed and deliver care to those at the end of life, keeping their well-being as a priority.
* Attend safeguarding training and recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect; know how to report concerns and escalate when necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Ability to undertake safeguarding training appropriate to the role and engage in related development.
* Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
* Comfort with technology and openness to learning as HC-One enhances digital care planning.
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship or time-limited visa holders can be considered).
