The Role:
* Preparing practical equipment, chemicals, and resources for daily science lessons
* Maintaining, calibrating, and organizing laboratory apparatus and teaching areas
* Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including CLEAPSS and COSHH logs
* Assisting teaching staff during practical demonstrations and exam practicals
* Managing stock control, chemical storage, and placing procurement orders
Requirements:
Applicants must have:
* Previous school experience working as a Science Technician within a UK secondary school or college
* Thorough working knowledge of health and safety legislation relating to school laboratories
* A strong academic background or qualification in a core science discipline
* Excellent organizational and meticulous record-keeping skills
* The legal right to work in the UK
Salary:
£24,500 – £28,500 per annum
