Location: Melton/Ipswich
Due to the nature of this role you will be regularly on the road, so a company vehicle will be provided.

Role and responsibilities
As a Housing Officer, you play a key role in delivering a proactive and supportive tenancy management service that enables customers to enjoy their homes and sustain their tenancies. You work closely with tenants to understand their needs, offering tailored support in areas such as safeguarding, hoarding, mental health, and property condition concerns. You also assist your Housing Manager in delivering the organisation's Housing Made Simple vision by ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures. In addition, you manage a personal caseload, help address tenancy breaches and tenancy fraud, and consistently focus on providing outstanding customer service that makes a meaningful difference to residents' lives.
What we're looking for:
* Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to deliver complex or difficult messages clearly and empathetically.
* Ability to listen, empathise, and act in the best interest of tenants, including working one‑to‑one in their homes.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a caseload based on urgency.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
* Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent).
* Full UK driving licence
