The Role
Within the group, Maths and English skills are in high demand. In this role, you will influence and contribute to the college’s provision in this key area.
You will have the opportunity to impart your knowledge to learners and make an impact on the wider community.
You will deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills Literacy to full-time students and adults, working onsite and online via Google Classroom.
The lecturer role involves equipping students with skills for the future through outstanding education, inspiring them to achieve their potential. This role provides daily job satisfaction through impactful teaching.
Skills And Qualifications
* Develop creative resources to inspire learning and monitor learner progress to promote positive outcomes.
* Be an effective team player with excellent interpersonal skills, working collaboratively to achieve objectives.
* Hold at least an A Level (or equivalent) qualification in English, and be willing to work towards a teaching qualification. A degree in a relevant subject is preferred.
* Bring the subject to life using practical, theoretical, and digital methods to engage learners and equip them with essential skills.
Department Info
The line manager will be the Deputy Manager for English and Maths. Regular reporting on KPIs such as student recruitment, retention, achievement, attendance, and punctuality is expected.
You will collaborate with other teaching staff to develop and share best practices and participate in cross-college projects as needed.
